Friday 23 June: Hovingham, Slingsby and Barton; starting at 6.20pm

Philip, as well as being a former organist and choirmaster of York Minister is a reknowned composer, and a world class organist, so this is a very special event!

Philip starts in Hovingham at 6.20pm, where he plays for about 20 minutes, before moving on to Slingsby for a 7.00pm start and ending in Barton where he starts at 7.40pm.

You can follow Philip to each of the churches or simply enjoy the music in one of them.  The recital is then followed by a finger buffet with a pay bar in Barton Village Hall, for which there is a charge of £5.00 per head.  While there is no formal charge for the recital, this is a fundraiser event, and so it is suggested that donations of, say, £5.00 per person, per church, would be appropriate – and of course if you wish to donate more it would be very welcome!  Do pass the word and encourage your friends to come and join you.
